Default Gear Up??

iam currently running on 3.55 stock gears i have 32x11.50 tires but might upgrade to 33's i was thinking of installing 4.27 but my concern was that ive compared other experiences with gears on cherokees and it seems to be wrong for example 35" tires on 4.88 gears should give 3045 RPMs but istead it gave around 2700 so would i have to go with 4.56 for 33" ohh by the way i want a lil more power than near factory so what would be the best gear set or what would you guys recommend ??

I don't think anyone makes a 4.27 gear set. I run 32's with 4.10's and it's ok. If I pull a trailer I am needing 4.56's. If you run 33's I'd go with 4.56 if auto. If stick then 4.10's would probably be ok.

guessing your an automatic based on the 3.55's...

Go 4.56's, I loved 4.56's with 33's. they are ok with 35's.... you always hear about people complaining about not enough gearing, but you don't hear about people who have "to much" lol

well ive seen a couple of 4.27's even though i did have a hard time finding them there also a little more expensive than 4.11 or 4.56 they make it for the dana 30 but for the ford 8.8 which i have in the back they have 4.30 which is the same but thats true once in a while a haul a trailer so i might go with 4.56

I want to say I was about 2700-2800 at 65-70 with 4.56's and 33's. with my 35's I am at 2500-2600 at 65-70. both in overdrive cruising.

those would be the perfect gears for me then because i was hoping to get that kind of rpm with the 4.27's but they told me it was way less since its a I6 engine ... thank you guys i really appreciated.. now does the brand of the gears matter ??? or is it the same for all ?
