Hopefully nobody has asked this already. I did some searching but didnt find much. Anyway, I am thinking about moving my gas tank into the cargo area of my 98 cherokee. I will mount the filler neck outside of the jeep, but was wondering what else needs to be done to be legal in Michigan. Do I need to have an airtight cover over the tank on the inside and cut the floor out underneath? I am hoping to not cut out the floor to save on fab work. Does anyone know the correct way of going about this?
