Fuel Injector Upgrade
Hi All,
Wanted to share an update that I did to my 99 XJ. In my journey to solve some rough idling I upgraded my 99 XJ to 12-hole injectors. Man what a difference this has made in the running of the vehicle as well as my MPG. I could not get the Avg Eco on my jeep to go above 14.5 MPG, after replacing the injectors (and an oil change) it averages around 20.5 MPG. Beyond this, when idling, my jeep was running rough, now most of that is solved except on cold start (Also need new wiring for my IAT) and my throttle response is much smoother. Now I don't believe that my results are completely the norm because it seems to good to be true and I believe that one of my injectors was bad. Link below is where I ordered my remanufactured 12-hole injectors from. If anyone has any questions or wants to see pictures, let me know!

I don't often admit this but I paid $300 for brand new 4 hole injectors. There was some logic behind that though. They were recommended to me by the son of an engine builder who also had an '00 like me and they did a little something to the engine. They are a customer of the store and pretty much the go to place in the area when it comes to stuff like this. The place that sold them is literally 15 minutes from my house. Figured if I had any issues I would get to deal with someone in person. Been almost 4 years now. Do not regret spending the money one bit.
