Front Wheel Well liners needed?
Hi everybody,
I am in the process of install Napier flat fender flares on my 99 XJ 4DR.
I've got the fronts done and was wondering if I need to reinstall the wheel well liners (plastic) that I removed when taking off the stock flares.
Are they needed? Should I seek another solution?
Thanks in advance.

I've had mine gone for a couple yrs now. I put pool noodles in the fender to door gaps then used 100% silicone to fill in any holes that aren't used.

Ah crap, that just leads to next problem.
What color pool noodle goes with metallic tan paint?
On a more serious note, since my seems are hammered flat, i think I'll reinstall the liners and trim them to fit the new openings. I'll use the stock plastic pin holes where I can, and install new ones on the new surfaces.
Maybe I'll combine both approaches and put noodles in and cover with liners?
That's the ticket!

Pink of course!
Sounds like a plan. Maybe some pics? I'm taking my out for a check up and a redo before winter.

A large pool noodle worked great in the driveway. Even tried to zip tie it in place and on the highway it was blowing and hanging out sideways. Pulled them and sprayed undercoating all in the area and now wash/rinse well after use.
