I picked up some shocks for my 00 XJ and the front shocks have a different bottom mount. My question is can I take the old mount (on the shock) and make it fit in the new shock. The front shocks are on the left,the bottom eye should be like the tops on the right. I hope this makes sense, I have a little time because I broke the rear upper shock mount bolts, so if I need new front shocks I'll order them.

Use some bar pin eliminators and you'll be golden.

Yup, you can slide the old bar pins in there. Just some lube and a vice makes it pretty easy.
