Default Front locker fix

I just got a 89 with a lift 33" and front and rear lockers but the front has been rigged to stay locked. Anyone have a good fix to be able to lock and unlock it ?

Is the front just welded up? Or did they somehow jam the locker into place so it won't open up? You might want to remove your diff cover and just take a look

If it's just been rigged with washers either get a new diaphragm or buy a Posi Lock

I thought you meant the diff was stuck locked. What he's done is just bypass the vacuum engagement for the front axle. 91+ Jeeps didn't even have this system and the front axle is always engaged. You would be better off repairing the system, or switching to a newer style front

Just FYI that doesn't mean you have a front locker it just means the PO locked the passenger side 2 piece axle together.
