front hitch winch
i have my class 4 hitch on the front and i was wondering how strong these are when pulling with a winch inserted in the 2" receiver. i will probably end up getting a 10k winch and mounting it on a heavy duty receiver, i figured the winch would rip off the plate before the hitch pulled off my frame...but my friend said if its not on a bumper, it is weak...he is an **** i think any input appreciated

Straight pulls will be fine from what I've read. I heard you don't want to do a lot of heavy pulling at different angles. The winch cradles I've seen stick out quite a bit so take the added force of leverage into consideration.
