Front Driveline Vibes ! Need Help
Sorry for the long post ...
Here's the story... 2001 Jeep XJ 60th Anniversary Trail Rated Edition with only 23,000 miles. It is a 4.0 with an automatic transmission and the NP 231 TC. It has Dana's Front and Rear. I just purchased it from an estate about 2 months ago. The thing was in absolutely perfect condition
All of the equipment is new.
4 1/2" Rusty's Lift
New rear springs and shackle combo
SYE Kit
New Tom Woods Driveshafts Front and Rear
Adjustable Upper and Lower Control Arm's set at
16 1/4 Lower , and 15 1/4 Upper
JKS Sway Bar Disconnects
Adjustable Track Bar
Rusty's Steering Stabilizer
Rusty's RX200 Shocks
Well after all of that, and a lot of hours under this thing , I still have bad driveline vibes. I live about 50 miles from Rusty's (who have went out of their way to help). Rusty worked on it for me for a couple of days and came up with the same thing.
Vibes are gone when front driveshaft is out, but when it's in, no amount of adjusting on castor and pinion angle will solve it.
So , I happen to think it may be a bad pinion bearing in the front but no vibes were noticeable prior to the lift installation.
This is my 4th XJ and all have been lifted with 3" Rusty's lifts and no issues. I don't think this is a lift issue either. Any idea's ????
