Front bumpers the same but rears different?
 

I'm looking at a wrecked 1998 xj for some parts and the rear bumper, it has a warn bumper with the tire carrier, but I found some info on those and it says that there's 2 different bumpers, one for 84-96 and another for 97-01. What's the difference? All front bumpers I've ever seen says 84-01.

Mounting is all the same, might just be slight curve difference.

The tailgate shape changed slightly for the 97.

Bumpers made for the new tailgate will interfere with the older tailgate.

I'm am assuming, but that is what it looks like.
