front bumper issues
so I've got an 87 and I messed up the front bumper pretty bad wheeling and I finally got around to taking it off today. well when I took it off I realized now that there's a little bit of body right in front of the fender. im planning on putting on an after market bumper and wanted to see if any of y'all had trimmed this part off or even with fender trimming, any help and pics would be appreciated

yeah that's exactly what I'm talking about, so its alright to just cut that piece off?
