Front axle shaft u joint help.
I recently changed my drivers side wheel hub and u joint. I haven't done the passenger side yet because I need to know if I have to take the diff cover off and remove a clip from the inside to pull the shaft out. I know that the drivers side did not do this but I have heard that I might for the passenger side. Any advice is much appreciated. Thanks fellow wheelers. And yeah I'm sure there is a thread for this 🤔

No c clip on the front axle period. You may have one on the rear but that would be on both sides.

same as what you just did....13mm 12 point socket for the hub bolts & the 36mm for the hub nut.
check out youtube for some vids |
No c clips on the front axle. Only in a rear c8.25. If you have a older xj with the vacum disconnect the passenger side axle shaft will be in two parts. All you need is a extendable magnet to get the second half of the shaft out. Although you dont need to do that to change the hub and u joint.

So I'm going to go for it not having a clip in it and I'm gonna pull that son of a gun out of there.
