Did you knock the switch loose from the transfer case while you were under it?

I had the same prob, it was just the switch in the t-case was bad

Yes it goes in fourwheel drive just no light

There's a vacuum actuated switch in the top of the t-case that probably needs to be replaced.

You can test the switch by unplugging the wiring connector on the switch and jumping the leads on the wiring. Then try putting it in four. If the light is on, you need to replace the switch.If the light still isn't working it could be circuit wiring or the bulb.
