Default Ford 9 inch and matching 44 front

So I finally bit the bullet and decided to go full widths. The 30 wouldn't last long under my plans, and I found this set of axles cheap. I plan on going with Clayton's 3 link set up and coil over rear, but I'm now just getting into the welding/ fabrication world. I'm not too proud to ask for help but would any of you with this experience and type of build be willing to lend advice?

Some 44's have cast wedges so you'll have to run radius arms. There are a tona of different versions of the D44 front axle. Honestly, if you're just getting into the fab world, I wouldn't mess with coilovers just yet.

It has welded wedges. Honestly I haven't decided on the coilovers just yet. It is eventually what I want but may decide to wait

I would stick with leafs and some really good shocks until you get more experience. Either way, a 44/9 is a great combo and both axles have a ton of aftermarket support.

Thanks man I already know I have to truss the front, but me attempting to 4 link the rear would be a nightmare right now

get deavers rear ruffstuff 3 link front and just run coils. or start reading your *** off on coilovers and get them if you really must. I don't see the use unless you plan on going fast. unless you're one of those guys who "just wants them for packaging purposes."

and keep in mind, d44 has the same size ujoints as the d30. it's going to take some cash if you want it to hold up to some bigger tires
apparently these axles snap like toothpicks on naxja

I was looking at coil Overs because it came with the kit I was looking at buying. Not really doing any speed with mine, just rock crawling
