Default First timer xj question

Hey everyone I recently purchased my 1st jeep and i dont know much about it. It is a 91 xj laredo with small lift clearing 285x75/16.. It has the acos coil spacer up front and a i think a 2 inch block in the rear. Right now if i hit the gas to hard while going slow it shutters bad. My buddy said it looked like the drive shaft was flopping. Once i get over 15 its fine. I have a stock u joint in the rear and a heavy looking one up front. I also want to try to get 35's for it so what would i have to do to get the clearance out of it.

Welcome. I recommend you start lookin around the forum. There is a lot more work involved then just stuffing 35s under your jeep. Lots of good threads on here. Good luck

Well if your gonna wheel it, ditch the blocks and get shackles and if you wanna keep 2 inch lift your gonna have to cut those fenders mad high to clear 35s plus bumpstop , but there is a guy on here that has a 3 inch lift with 37s so it's possible. Look up something with LCG or low center gravity his rig should be in there somewhere

well my track arm bushings up front are done.. Now the power steering is leaking like hell and the thing rides like a log truck. I need to get some new tires, a power steering pump and a bushing kit.. Has anyone got any advice on a good kit to run? I was thinking about getting the energy suspension kit because it has all of them.

I would go stock myself on the front stuff. Unless you want to go from a log truck to a dump truck. In off-road vehicles rubber is often a better choice. It flexes and conforms better. I run poly on my track bar and sway bar also in the rear. The control arms are rubber. That would be my recommendation. They handle side loads better during articulation.
