Finished lift
Hey guys I just finished my lift my ended up with a rustys 2 inch lift with coils and aal. Gonna order bilsteins now. It's a little higher than I wanted. I am at 21 inches from center of hub to flare in the rear and 19.5 in the front. I also removed the rear sway barman what do you guys think?

Looks good are those the size tires your going to run on it? Seeing you used an AAL were your leafs in good shape on the XJ to begin with, I'm guessing they were from the amount of lift in the rear.
You will enjoy the ride of the Bilstein shocks on/off road a very good mid priced shock setup properly for the XJ's weight. Do you plan on sway bar disconnects for more travel off road?

No I bought brand new oem dorman springs. I was looking intosway bar discos. The shocks that came with the kit are for a 2 inch lift since that's what I got. Well since the lift is a bit higher right now, there is a pop/clunking sound. Possibly shocks over exerting themselves?

My right rear used to click when I went around bends, stopped once in swapped my rear axle, think it was the center pin wasn't seated all the way in the spring pad, although it could have been something in my Dana 35.

I think this might be my issue. Called rustys and they said once everything settles it will be fine. What does everyone think? Whether the leafs come together it's clunking

Sounds right to me, try a a little oil or grease to see if it changes. If it does you're on the right track.

Looks good.
Those leaf springs should settle after awhile.
Alot of the reviews i read on them reported that they added 1" of lift over factory ride height upon install.
I have the same leafs and they aren't providing my Heep with the extra inch.

Turns out the clunking is from my shackles hitting the metal where the bumper bolt comes in through! I bought dorman shackles as well. They had a white marking on them. Anyone know kw which way it went? I put it facing the rear bumper. Pictures in a little bit
