Fender Flares
Just curious if anyone knows anyone besides bushwacker and rustys that sells aftermarket fender flares FOR THE XJ? (dont really care for the looks of the wrangler flares on the xj) both of them seem over priced to me for a piece of plastic thats just going to get beat up (in my case)

I looked over the link and noticed that for all four the price jumps to $349, ($90 is for a single flair) that combined with Rusty's notoriousely overpriced shipping and your looking at only slightly less money than the bushwackers if any. Just thought I'd point it out in case you had'nt noticed it.

yea I noticed it..crazy... why I was curious if anyone knew another source. Only reason I would get the rustys is they are malleable... I dont know how strong the bushwackers are but I doubt they will take a hit from a tree/branch... crazy what they charge for those things... lol

Iceland Offroad has fender flares that are pretty damn big and look very similar to the OEM flares.
From what I've read on them, the mounting quality isn't that great. But I've never seen any in person.
And they cost about the same as Bushwackers, but look much better IMO.

I have'nt been able to make up my mind yet on which way I wanna go flair wise, like you I'm still doing my homework. I'm leaning towards the BW flatties. Rusties does offer the flex option but I'm thinking if I'm getting into somewhere I'm close enough to the flair catching on something, chances are its coming off as well as some of my paint, but thats based on the stuff we run in this neck of the woods, where you run may very well be different, you mentioned trees. A flexible flair may work out well for you in that case. I'm interested to see what others opinions are on this subject.

Agreed, and I've seen the pocket style flairs get pretty torn up with minimal contact, they tend to tear out from the fasteners. I've seen a couple torn off from tire rub.

Yea my stock flares got ripped apart. Not always because of trees directly... more the branches under the mud... It looks terrible running around with nothing on my DD, not to mention illegal.
Im sure somebody has somthing cool in here
