If your runnin big tires you should measure to bumpstop accordingly..so, iv searched a bit and all i find is fixed length bumpstops, so how would you extend bumpstops to precise measurements? Iv heard of hokey (lol) pucks but for the front?

I used softballs in my front coils and they turned out to be perfect size. In the back I bought daystar extended bumpstops and bolted them to some 2x4x1/4 box that I welded to the framerail.

How bout for the front? Dont want to stick ***** in my springs...

Hockey pucks are for the front. You drill a hole in the center of the coil bucket and through the centers of as many hockey pucks as you need. Drop a bolt through the top with a nut under the bucket, and you have bumpstops.

I'm using pucks in the front. Mine are bolted to the spring perch with a 5/16" bolt. IIRC, I had to tap one of them since the bottom of the perch wasn't accessible.

For the front, use hockey pucks inside the coils. The way I did it was to remove the coils and drill and tap for a 5/16" bolt in the center of the coil bucket on the axle. Take however many pucks you are going to need and drill a 5/16" hole in the center. Then take two pucks and drill a larger hole partially into them to countersink the bolt heads. Slide the pucks into the coild and then put the bolt in them and tighten them down. Also, a more temporary method, but one I used for a couple months without issues was to just rtv the coils in place.

Never had a problem with the softballs. Just popped the coils and threw them in.

For the rears it seems that most people just buy the extended ones

You can just glue the hockey pucks on using shoo goo. Scuff the pucks and clean the rust off the base. NEVER had one come off using shoo goo.

I've heard this before, but I'd personally use a bolt for peace of mind.

I'm doing hockey pucks on the front of mine. Seems there's plenty of room to get a nut under the coil bucket. Basically same way as above. For the rear, I plan on getting the 4" stops for the upper unirail, and possibly welding extensions onto the spring plates to catch it on if that isn't enough.

I was skeptical at first also. With no personal experience using hockey pucks.

So I figured if they fell off I would just bolt them on. Well that was over a year ago. Through tons of off road trips. Needless to say they have been proven to me.
