Default Exhaust Question

Hey I've got a thrush glasspack which sounds great but I'm curious if changing the end of the exhaust pipe will change the sound. When I put the glasspack on I mandrel bent new pipe all the way from the glasspack back and left the stock downward curve at the end. If I cut that end off and run it straight out and possibly weld a bigger tip on at the end of it will that change my sound at all?

In high school I cut the tip off my exhaust after the first hanger after the muffler and it made it sound like I had a legit exhaust on it.

What qualifies as "legit exhaust"?

It sounded like I had a cat back Flowmaster exhaust. A legit exhaust. Only thing is the exhaust blew out right onto my gas tank and after driving to and around the desert (Ocotillo wells which is about an hour and a half away from San diego) for a while it melted the plastic/rubber thing that is around the gas tank. So make sure to put a 90 on it

I love when people in highschool claim they are broke. I know I had more money in highschool the. I do now. Try having a mortgage , insurance , daycare, credit cards , utilities , student loans, medical/dental/vision for 4 people, 401k , and 2 kids in daipers , one on formula . Then having 2 Jeeps that are being built at the same time. That's what I call being broke.

Lol I just finished high school and with my own phone bill and insurance the only reason I would be broke is because I spent all my money on things I wanted. Nice sounding exhaust in that video by the way!

I had decent money in high school, but not great. I worked after school but had to pay insurance, cell phone, rent, and gas card and didn't make much after bills were payed. I lived in the country and drove 15 miles each way to school and 20 miles to work each way. So after all was paid I barely could afford to fish for boose

Honestly my exhaust sounds almost identical to that and all I spent was $100 and that includes the $30 glasspack and $70 labor.

I highly doubt it sounds identical to mine I have a few friends running the same muffler and tailpipe as I am they don't sound the same. My one buddy has a hiflow cat and his doesn't sound like mine or theirs. I also have a header , custom mandrel bent 2.5" downpipe , 2.5" hiflow cat ...... A vehicle with just a catback will never sound like the same vehicle with headers custom downpipes, hiflow cats and catback.

My exhaust note completely changed when I installed a header and removed the factory manifold
