Exhaust / Intake Swap Question - Thank You
 

I have a 97 xj sport. 0630 head casting. Larger exhaust ports.

Donor - 2000 xj. Crappy head casting. With smaller exhaust ports.

Im doing intake/exhaust manifold swap and need a new exaust downpipe etc on the 1997.

Question is - will the 2000 downpipe clear and fit on the 97? It is a Y split pipe without o2 sensor on manifold, meaning there are only 2 o2 sensors with the pipe setup on the 2000.

I will be using a 2000 exhaust gasket and dremeling the over hang. I know it is not a proper fit and the manifold has smaller ports than head. The 97 has the factory dented downpipe, i figured that the slight size difference in port size wouldnt be anymore restrictive than stock setup.

I have a 3 inch lift On the 97.


Will it clear and work? Thanks
