Engine pops, loss of power, smell of fuel

Model: Cherokee
Engine: 4.0L, K&N filter, throttle body riser, Rugged Ridge header
Engine pops, loss of power, smell of fuel
Hey, all!
When I try to accelerate quickly or am going up a hill, my engine makes a series of popping noises accompanied with a sharp drop in RPM and torque, and I can then smell fuel in the cabin (especially if I immediately stop).
Time to install a new fuel pump or injector(s)?

does pcm holds any codes ?
when did the jeep last had a good tuneup ?
plugs, wires and all that stuff ?
you could also have a bad map sensor or a tps going south.
