Default Empty 242 transfer case...what to do?

I have an empty 242 transfer case that I picked up somewhere in my travels. I found it as I was doing a bit of spring cleaning in my shop. What to do with it? Would it be feasible just to fill it back or would it be better just to scrap it?

Thoughts?

What do you mean by empty.. No atf fluid or no internal parts. If it the fluid fill it up mount it and see if it works.

lol. No internal parts. I have a few laying around for the 242 that my friend could find (the shaft, planetary gear, chain etc), but it is missing a lot of other parts.

Just didn't know if it would be worth it to build it or not.

For the small amount of space it takes up I'd just sit on it. Cases break lol. Having it as a spare for yourself would be pretty cool, or leap at a local Jeep club or Cherokee Forum opportunity.
