Default Electrical Problem (I think)

So I was taking a right hand turn and my 96 Jeep cherokee 4L 6Cyl cut out. All lights stayed on, pressed on the gas and nothing was there. When i got it home i found that my motor mount had broke some time in the past and my distributer was literally holding up the right side of my motor. After fixing the mount, i started testing all the wires with a spark plug and found i had no sprak coming from the coil. Replaced th coil and still no spark. So it has to be something before the Coil. Any thoughts?

Just more info. When i try to start it back up, the starter works and it wants to turn over. Its almost like it not getting fuel but it has no spark in the coil that is conected to the distributer.... Thanks for reading

You need to do some testing of the Cam Position Sensor and Crank Position Sensor reference voltage.
I suspect that while your engine was resting on the distributor; you shorted the CPS wiring to ground and blew a fuse.

Could be the cam position sensor inside the distributor. I just replaced mine with the same symptoms.

But if the coil isnt getting spark wouldent that mean the problem would be before the coil?

Maybe the computer isn't sending spark to the coil because it isn't getting a reading from the camp sensor?

I'm not sure what exactly you mean there, but I'd check the distributor for physical damage.. I doubt if they make very good motor mounts.
