electric locker
I installed an Eaton E-Locker in the front of my '97 cherokee, and have noticed a few glitches:
The switch stays on all the time. When the locker is engaged, the light dims. I tried swapping wires to no avail.....
When the vehicle is cold....and the outside temp. is in the single digits.... and I turn to the right...... and the locker is not engaged............... the front right tire/axle noticeably ratchets After driving for a few miles, it quits doing it. Do I need to worry?

Yeah, the switch has 3 prongs......
Red wire was connected to battery. Blue wire was connected to the ignition. Black wire was grounded to the body. I tried what I thought was all the possible combinations.... but maybe I missed one.
I'll go back and check again.

one wire should be power as stated before the middle one, one of the other posts should be ground, and the last open post should be to power the unit when the switch is on....
i dont see why you need a wire from the ignition and again from the battery that doesnt make any sense... wire it like this, i would also install a relay if i were you
heres your switch
- 12 volt power out (blue wire) --- this should be going to whatever it is your powering i.e your locker
- 12 volt power in (red wire)
- ground (black wire)
and also make sure that your 12 volt power in is fused

e-locker issue
we connected the wires according to the supplied instructions from the manufacturer, but obviously, there's a glitch somewhere.

yea there has to be a glitch, because why would you have to hook up a wire to a ground, then to the battery then to the ignition... what about the power wire that goes to the electronic locker?
can you get a picture of the wiring diagram from the manufacture i can help you out
