Edelbrock performer IAS and shock length
Ok so I came across a good deal on some Edelbrock Performer IAS shocks, the rears are Tj 4" lift 12.5-19.6" collapsed to extended. The fronts are GM truck with 4" lift 13-19" collapsed to extended.
My question is can anyone give me an estimate of Xj 6" shock length collapsed extended? I know each jeep is different but just an estimate. Also does anyone have an opinion on these shocks?
Computer is broken so I'm doing this on my phone so it's hard to search but I didn't find anything

you need to find a cargo loading ramp or a fork lift and disconnect the shocks and measure. Mine ended up being 17" collapsed/31" extended. The longest shocks i could find (ANYWHERE) were 17.5" collapsed/29.4" extended.
Every application is different.

I did mine while in building....
The main thing is compressed length. The reason being is that your tire can only stuff so much. Throw on a tire bring it to full bump. take a measurement. remember to keep in mine that there will be about another 1/2" of up travel due to bump top compression. then find a shock with that collapsed length
i measured mine at this point in the process:
and tested in this point in the process:
