Drop in lift height average??
I tried my best to google search this question but was unable to find the information i was looking for.
I have had my RE 5.5 inch lift kit on the xj for about a week now. Im not sure if i have just gotten used to it already but i could swear it has lost some height. Do they "settle in" normally or am i just crazy?
I thought getting the 5.5 lift and 33x12.5 tires would ensure that i went big enough and did not have buyers remorse. I do love it but i can really see how people just go bigger and bigger, lol.
Cheers!

I see people running that quite often however i swear if i was 1,5 inches lower i would have all kinds of rubbing issues from what i can tell. Was just following RE's suggestions.

Ill get one up asap. One thing i have learned in the last week is that pictures are a great reference but just dont do any justice to the actual look of the vehicle. I snapped a phone pic to send to a buddy and when he saw it in person he commented on how much better it looked then in the picture.

As the springs get broken in, it will settle some. It's normal. My rear springs gave me 1.5" lift after they got broken in, which is roughly 1/2" lower than when they were brand new.
If I had 5.5" of lift I'd be going to bigger tires, that's plenty of lift for any XJ.

I run 4.5" RE coils, and 3.5" RE leafs..
And 35s..
And I dont rub at all..
Provided my fenders are cut.. I can still max out a 13" travel shock.

Nice, in the future i can get bigger tires if i feel the need. My next choice is to just cut the fenders or go with flat flares to get a little more working room!
