driveshaft angles...?
hey guys! trying to cure all my past jeep problems.. ive got a 97 2 dr with a procomp 3.5" lift and stock driveshafts. do i actually need a rear sye for a 3.5" lift? or can i get away with dropping the trans cross member a little (it probably couldnt hurt right?) my 89 has 4" lift with a small drop kit but the 97s got nothing....? the front already has the cv type shaft and it also has about a 2" spacer.. ya i know... spacers, almost as bad as blocks- well not quite.. hahaha.... but do i need any mods up here? ive never had any problems with the front but have had my rear shatf bind up and kick out on me..... ive got some shackles i want to toss in eventually when i save enough for a different shaft but will the drop get me by in the meantime with just the 3.5" lift.. ?

t-case drop will work, but if you plan on going higher (ie the shackles) it may be time to think about a sye or hack n tap, that way if you decide again to go even higher, you won't be limited to the t-case drop.
of course you could always drop the t-case now, then do a sye or hack n tap when you decide to go higher (although i really don't see the point, but it would never hurt)
