drivers track bar mount
 
Am I the only one with this problem? Been searching for hours. What's the best way to get the bottom bolts off of the drivers side track bar mount? Had them soaking in kano for 4 days and they still won't budge. I'd hate to break them

Guessing you mean control arm because your track bar doesn't mount on the axle on the driver side. Must be good and rusty. Try a breaker bar and if that doesn't work try a hot wrench (torch).

Should've been using PB blaster. At some point you're just going to have to put some grunt into it and either get it loose or break it. If you cant get it loose by hand use a cheater bar or bigger wrench. If it breaks it breaks. Nothing you can do about it but get another bolt.

And as marc said above, heat would help.

No, I mean track bar. The unibody bracket on the drivers side is what I'm talking about.

Just wondering if there were any tricks to it I should know about. Looks like I'll be firing up the torch.

Ah man I'd pick Kano any day over pb blaster, lol.

I put a 600 ft lb impact on mine-- You more than likely can't break one with a wrench.

The rear set nut isn't a nut, however. its a thick threaded washer that is bonded to the uni-rail somehow. I broke it loose with the impact and had to weld it back in to get the bolt out.
