Looking for guys who have specific experience running a 4.5+" lift on the 242 T-Case.
Heres what I have. After buying and selling and buying selling some more. The current lift consists of the following
New RE - 4.5" Coils
New RE - 4.5" Full Leaf Packs
New TeraFlex shocks
Lightly used RC Adj UCA's, LCA's, Adj Trackbar
BPE's
I sold some RC 3" leaf packs with RC adj. shackles so I will need new shackles regardless. Plus, those would give me more lift than I want at this point.
Most aftermarket shackles are at least going to bump 1". So if I bump 1" in the rear and the front with spacer, then run the 1" T-Case drop, what are the chances of driveline vibes?
This is the first XJ I've had with the 242 case. It will see light trail use, but mainly a DD. On others I just install and SYE, but the only option for now is the Hack N Tap. I can install a Hack N Tap if its going to be absolutely necessary, but I really don't have the time to add it right now, and I don't plan on going higher. I've heard the driveline vibes will hold out up to about 4". Wanted to know if the extra half inch is really going to cause some issues.

I was thinking 4 degree shims with a 1" T-Case drop. Forgot to add the 4.5" leafs have 1" Warrior shackles on them.Originally Posted by XRated
Put some 6 degree shims in the back and youll be fine.
After doing some further research on the shims, I found some things regarding the RE leafs stating they will usually net a bit higher lift than 4.5". Is that true? I know they need to settle, but all in all are they still going to sit higher than 4.5"?

I have a 242 and an running 5.5" and 35s with no SYE and no vibes. I have completely flexed it out and wheel it regularly with NO driveshaft problems... Every Jeep is different
