Does anyone know what the angle is that the driveline is supposed to be on a 90 cherokee and if you can bring the driveline back about one inch

Don't worry about the exact degrees. Its more a relationship thing. Without a SYE and CV Shaftm you want the pinion amgle to be 1-2 deg below the angle of the TC output. With a SYE you want the pinion to point at the TC output. Now I think I've seen that if you have a stock DS and the DS angle is greater than 22 degs you run the risk of putting the Ujoints into a bind, Vibe would drive you mad way before that point anyway.

As for moving the driveline Back 1", If you mean the rear axel, Yes it can be done. 1 Way would be to get different spring with the center hole 1" to the rear. another would be to drill new centering hole in the stocker

it's not about position, it's about the angle. Looking at your picture you're running a standard slip-yoke on the transfer case, without a transfer case drop. For this situation you need to make sure angle of the pinion on the axle is parallel to that output on the transfer case so the u-joints work together and don't bind.
