Default Driveline angles messed up after installing new mounts

I have a 93 XJ with a 3" Rough Country lift.. Things were smooth till the transmission mount and the driver side engine mount went out. I changed all 3 mounts and now my rear drive shaft angle is off that when I decelerate I hear the u joints binding. I checked the u joints and their in good shape, just the angle is off. Is there a break in period for the mounts? will they sag down soon enough to alleviate the angles? The suspension has stayed the same, but since I put new (OEM) mounts I think I need a transfer case drop or SYE.. thoughts?

I'm not sure how crafty you are but if you can, make up a set of cheap transfer case drop mounts. I used some 1"x1" box tubing and drilled holes in them. Then ran to the hardware store and got longer bolts. Beats the heck out if spendin 30 bucks or more for something alot cheaper

It sounds like you've always needed a TC drop/SYE but the worn out mounts allowed the drive train to sag enough not to cause issues.

thanks for the input. would a 1.5" transfer case drop be overkill or will the 1" drop be sufficient?

side question, for those with lunchbox lockers installed, have you noticed a kind of drag or slowing down while cruising on the freeway? I feel like the jeep is slowing too quick when I lift off the gas. I feel like it used to maintain speed better.. I have spartan auto lockers installed in the front and rear

1 inch is the norm.

You'll be fine with 1 inch. If you still need to go more than that, might as well do an SYE

Your lockers shouldn't cause any extra parasitic drag.

Its probably the ujoints binding.
