Default Drilling out broken rear shock bolts

I've searched and found threads on WHAT to do, but not how to actually do it...

Like what size drill bits to use, do i have to drill a smaller hole first, which size bolts to put in after!

This is the LAST PART of my lift and i'm stuck! Btw, i am using the sway bar bracket as bar pin eliminators!

Any help would be great!

Iv'e done what ericfx said on at least 4 xjs> I used a long punch and small sledge and they need a few good whacks but they will pop out. Then to reinstall I glued a fender and regular washer to a lock nut with a drop of super glue(make sure that no glue gets in threads) then wrap tape around the nut so it would all be held snug in place with a closed end wrench then slid it in where the nuts you knocked out. I also recommend using bar pain eliminators so you don't have to hassle with it again it also spreads the stress over a larger area. Works every time!

I drilled it all the way through and put the bolt in from inside and it worked great. Had to cut my carpet but, oh well.

the easiest way to fix this is to take a small stubby screwdriver, and a BFH. place screwdriver on bolts, hit with hammer, easy as that. When i did mine it took MAYBE two hits on each bolt. then you feed a new bolt through each access panel underneath the vehicle, the holes are just big enough to get your hand in there on one side. for the other side i taped the bolt to the wrench and dropped it in there. doesn't get much easier than that. no drilling, no tapping, no cutting your floor up. easy.

I used my neighbors air hammer with a punch ( don't know if that's the right word) bit. All four bolts were busted and it knocked them out quick. I fished in bolts with lock washers on them and installed bar pin eliminaters from Zone Offroad.

I really dont understand how you guys are fishing new bolts through, i drilled te holes to 5/16 and taped a bolt to a wrench and it just hits a tight spot and wont go far enough to the hole

Im gonna drive this thing off a ****ing cliff

You sound just like me when i am wrenching. I hate it.
Its fun when everything goes as planned but something like this makes my knuckles bleed and wrenches fly.
You WILL figure it out.
