Drag link
How hard/impossible is it to bed a drag link back
|
Guessing you mean bend and if it's stock they are solid and I'm surprised it bent. With heat you might be able to but they are cheap to buy new and can be had from pretty much any parts store.
|
Ya but I'm 17 and not supposed to be wheeling so it's hard to tell them

You can come clean or lie and say you hit something in the road.
|
Seems like bending one, then straightening it would weaken it some. I'd just replace it, they're cheap from a parts yard. Not too expensive new either.
|
You'd screw around with it trying to get it back straight and probably never get it just right.
Buy one and put it on there. |
Is it hard to put new ones on
|
Not trying to sound mean but if you have to ask maybe you shouldn't.Steering isn't something you want to play with and get wrong.

If your replacing the drag link. Go to the junkyard and pick up some v8 grand Cherokee tie rods.. Upgrade instead of just replace.

In fact I'm surprised u bent the drag link before the weak tie rod. While u have the draglink out, u might as well as upgrade all tie rod ends to v8 zj ones. That way u won't have to worry about it again |
Don't be a *****, grab your balls, if you have any, and tell them the truth.

Try telling your old man "hey, my jeep is stuck in the river and it's raining!" A bent drag link isn't a big deal. Ahhh memories...
|
as i tell my son you brake it you fix! just tell them
|
It's easy to bend the truth than it is to bend the bar back. LOL
All jokes aside, you're better off getting a new one, as the old one's structural integrity is now compromised and bending it back will only create a stress point (if you can even get it back straight) that will fail later (and probably cause a whole lot more damage if you're moving at a good click). |
