Default Downside to 15x10s?

I'm currently running 33x12.5s on 15x7s. They rub on the lca's a little at full lock but I found some decent priced 15x10s on CL and wondering if I should go after them.

I didnt realize it was even possible to run 12.5's on a 7" wide wheel.

The 7" wide wheel would hold the bead better than the 10" wide wheel when aired down for wheeling. If your jeep only sees street driving the 10" wide wheel would probably give you more even tread wear.

But if you get a 15x10 with the same backspacing as your 15x7 wheels, you will still rub on the lca's.

If you like the width now just pick up some wheel spacers.

If you air down the tire you have greater chance of popping a bead. Why not get bigger BS?

Had the same problem on mine. Wheel spacers fixed it right up. And gave me a better stance.

The problem with spacers is that I'm about to go with an 8.8 in the rear and will already have spacers

Your profile states that your Cherokee is a 2000, with a C/8.25 which has 29 spline shafts and your only running 33/12.50s, so why go to an 8.8 rear axle?

I would buy 15x8s with either 3.75 or 4" of backspacing, $50 or less each, so the price is about the same as spacers. [ then sell your 15x7s ] In the end they would cost less than spacers, and as long as you kept the 5x4.5 lug bolt pattern an axle swap wouldn't matter.

X2 the 8.25 can handle that all day even if you abuse it.

How do you adjust steering stops?

Also, I'm regearing and the guy will throw in an 8.8 for $1200 out the door for everything. I'll pay a couple extra hundred for disc brakes and limited slip. I don't have a problem with my 8.25, but I'm sure I'll wanna go bigger than 33s down the road anyway.
