xtreamj,
It is just commercial door trim from Pepboys on the fender. as for the snorkle itself,we cut directly into the exsisting breather box and ran the pipe in.

Looks absolutely amazing! I have never liked the doors off idea nor look but yours looks amazing! I really like the black door jams Your entire XJ looks amazing however using 3" exaust pipe might not be the best idea since its gonna heat up the air going into the intake fast. It looks great tho Oh and your grill is up side down lol

Thanks guys,
Intresting point btm24 (the exaust pipe). Care to elaborate? Im not sure how the use of exaust pipe will heat up the intake air, but am sure open to learning.

Well I am just taking a guess it would but I have no personal experience with this. A exhaust pipe is made of metal which heats up fast, and transfers heat easy. So it may be that using metal as a snorkel will heat up the air faster unlike pvc or other plastics. You gotta think that most if not all company's that make snorkels use some type of plastic this may be due to the heat issue (or cost idk) I know ive seen people use exhaust pipe under the hood to help make a cold air intake and then others making the same point that I am that exhaust pipe will make the air in the intake heat up faster. Now I do understand the snorkel is out side of the vehicle and not under the hood but have you ever touched a pipe after baking in the sun for an hr? Its hot.
Also do you have a filter to filter out any dirt the snorkel sucks in? or is it just the roof peace?
