doing my fender flares and running boards
Hey guys, I need some help. Im thinking of painting my running boards and fender flares. However, I have no idea what to go with. Should I use bedliner or regular paint? Ill post pics. Any suggestions?

I personally don't care for bedlining the flares. I bedlined my rockers and lower doors, but I'm just painting the TJ flares and I'm adding to it. You can check my build in my signature to see how I did the rockers.

doing the bedliner will hold up a ton better than paint. You will just have to make sure you use a real abrasive sand paper to prep the metal with. Otherwise it may not stick, and it also depends on what type of bedliner you use. I went and bought some Rustoleum spray on bed liner from lowes and did my flares, grill, and all other trim on my expedition. It held up great and really gave it a more rugged look. But you have to really take your time and prep the surface right.
