Default Does bad leaf springs make car shaking at high speed?

Hi,

I have a 97 xj, that has 6 inch lift 35's tires, and locked 8.25 diff.
Lately my car developed shaking at high speed over 60mph.
My stick shifts shakes kind of bad at high speed.
I inspected motor mount and tranny mount and leaf springs and rear axle.
driver side motor mount is worn out, but not really bad.
tranny mount looks okay.
There is a little bit of play of rear axle, but tiny bit.
and leaf springs are almost flat and bushings are worn out.
There is bang noise from rear whenever I leave my drive way.
Sometimes squeaking rattle noise from driver side rear when I do cornering slightly rightside at 30mph.

Should I replace whole leaf springs and bushings?
Thanks for your help

I'd start with making sure your tires are balanced and true. An out of balance tire (especially and over sized tires), can cause a vibration that will get worse as your speed increases. The worn out bushings on your leaf springs will only serve to amplify the vibration. Almost flat is ok as long as they don't have a negative arc.
I have to replace my leaf springs because they look sort of like an "S" (slight positive arc behind the axle and slight negative arc in front of the axle).

I know what the death wobble is, it's completely different type of vibration. I'll do wheel balance first since it's cheap. And i'll see, thanks.
U-joints are all good though.

You mean rear?
Do I need to remove c clip and axle to check that one?
Rear axle play is just in and out.

Naah............jack up the rear end, put the tranny in neutral, (make sure you use chocks) and turn the wheels by hand with your ear close to the hub. If it's a bearing, you'll be able to hear it.
