today i found out my buddie wrecked his dodge ,its a 2x4 4.7 v8 ....i can gett the engine an tranny for 400 ... my question is how would i go abot doing this ,if even worth it,i plan on puting it in my 97 xj tht cost me 400 bucks plus 1600 in lift an tires

I personally never seen or heard it done, I am sure its doable, but I dont think the tranny would work, and everything would have to be custom fabbed, and you would need the computer and wiring harness to. IMO to much work.

Unless your a millionare and have a machine shop and know as much as the factorys do on electrical it wont happen, that swap is a total waste on time, and I love mopars but a 4.7 is a pain in the ***.Do a 3.9 ,5.2 or 5.9, these have been done and aren't to hard if you have more than the average knowlegde of a forum watcher. Don't need to get upset over this as most people are just watcher's and not do'ers that's why people have atrade under their belts.gl with the future swap.
