Im currently looking for a front tube bumper and rear tire carrier, I see a lot of people make there own. I have never welded before but i have always wanted to learn, would this be a bad project for a beginner if I took a class or 2 to begin? Is it worth it cost wise to make your own? What do diy bumpers averagely cost?

I have a good answer for you. Get a DIY bumper and go get in a class learning to weld 101 or something. You might be able to use the bumper as your project or some thing like that, build it while you learn to weld. A bonus would be the teacher. He would be able to help make it right...Just a thought, Plus you get to learn to weld, and get a bumper.
