Detours Bumper Brow Lite Bar
I'm thinkin of installing the bumper brow lite bar from Detours Offroad, but I'm not sure if I have to remove my front bumper guards or not. I kinda like them on for the look. I know the end ones I can leave on, but what about the front ones? I also wanna leave them on so I don't have gaps in the trim on the front bumper. I left the trim on all around because mine stands out among the other XJ's around me from being a limited. If anyone has pics of the lite bar installed, I'd appreciate it if you posted them. I'm looking to get the longer lite bar so I can fit about 4 lights on there.

To answer your question... yes. The rectangle black plastic trim pieces are going to have to go if you install this bar.
Perhaps he could make a custom one for you that's a bit taller.

Measure the distance between your guards, If you have 30 inches between them you can get the bar that fits the newer XJs. At least thats what Im assuming so double check that.

I'll have to do some measuring to see what can be done. I was thinking of also getting a black bumper from a jy and drill into that instead. That way I don't have to worry about the guards or trim or anything. I could paint a white stripe on it to match or do something similar to that. Thanks for the input guys! If i get it soon enough I'll post some pics.
