UCA & LCA
UCA axle bushings (poly)
Rustys HD trac bar
All new tie rods, drag link the whole thing
Professional alignment
Tire balance and a whole different set of tires
Absolutely no play in ball joints.

**Alignment specs:
Camber
LF: -.8
RF: -.5
Caster
LF: 8.7
RF: 8.7
Toe
LF: .02
RF: .01

Just like everyone and there mom I have death wobble. I had finally fixed the problem, axle UCA bushings replacement with poly and was all good with minor shimmies at 60ish. Took it off road, and it returned.

Wobbles at 50-65 when hitting a bump. Any slower and any faster then its usually fine. (still terrifying for the potential) When turning the wheel back and forth you can see the axle move a little side to side. You can see the trac bar on the axle side is where the movement comes from. I'd say about 1/8-1/16 side to side. I replaced that bushing with a new poly bushing and it still has that play and wobble. The bolt doesn't move, so no wollowed out hole. No movement on the frame side.

I'm at such a loss on what to do. I hate to be the one asking about death wobble but what the hell is going on!

any suggestions are so much appreciatede.

I would get an adjustable track bar and reuse the factory bolt hole. Apparently the bushing on that track bar are either worn out or just crappy to begin with. Should be no movement at all.

Oh, and while I was at it, I would go ahead and get a double sheer, fix it and forget it.

 

Is it lifted? Larger tires?

That is a lot of caster and too much can contribute to DW.

 

This is an adjustable track bar, two separate bushings one not even a two weeks old and another brand new. (new one less play) I am using the factory bolt hole but its been widened to a larger hole.

 

Lifted 3 inches, 30/9.5 tires.
I had the DW even with the factory shorter LCA if that means anything

 

I would see about setting caster between 6-7. Pretty sure factory spec is less than 8. Once you lift and add a larger tire it changes how much caster you need to keep factory like handling. Tight bushings, the right amount of toe and caster keep this type of suspensions natural tendency to cause DW in check.

 

Oh, the extra bolt hole confused me. If those are new bushings, they sure don't seem to be doing their job well. Just my .02 worth.

 

Are the drag link/track bar parallel?
