Anyone installed daystar extended bumpstops in the front? My new coils will be here tomorrow and got daystar extended bumpstops and cant get them to fit in their seats. Anyone got any tips and pics are appreciated. Thanks

Yes. They have to be forced in. If there was play in them, they would be more likely to fall out. Just put a little extra muscle into it

So after numerous tries of jacking up the axle and using that to push them in, i called daystar. I guess Cherokees had either 1 1/2" or 2" bump stops. He said that its totally at random so not a specific year has a certain size which i find out. So it must have been the quadratec sent me the 2" ones. So after a lot of sanding, i was able to neck them down enough that they pushed in and stayed hard. I just wish i would have known this before

^haha, come on man, that's not the way to do it.
You guys are missing the easiest most obvious trick.
support vehicle weight, remove spring, locate bump stop, lower vehicle onto bump stop. POP! it's in there.
Use the vehicles weight to force the bump stop into position. That's how I installed mine. Don't make it hard on yourself.

There are only two part numbers from daystar for the front bumpstop for an xj. The sizes changed around 97 i think when the body changed. Ive put a few sets in and you have to lube them up and hang one side of the bumpstop lip up inside on the inner lip to wedge it. Then press the opposite side in. Though im alot stronger than the average person im sure the average male can force it in by hand.

I jacked up the body enough to get the bumpstop through the coil springs, then used a metal bar to get enough leverage to pop it in.

might help to buy the correct one. Don't ever rely on assuming its going to work b/c it encompasses your year, make or model
