how much stronger is a dana 44 than a dana 30 with upgraded shafts?

What kind of D44 are you trying to compare the Upgraded D30 to ?

TJ Rubi D44 ?
JK Rubi D44 ?
Wagoneer D44 ?
Dynatrac Trail D44 ?
DynaTrac ProRock 44 ?

The D44 has a stronger and Bigger R&P Gears
Most have thicker Axle Tubes and Stronger Housings
Stronger Knuckles
Most have Locking Hubs
More Splines on the Axle Shafts

HP or LP30 and HP or LP44, the shafts will be rougly the same the strength will be in the larger ring gear and depending on what axle used, the tubes could be larger and thicker.
