Default Dana 35 locker help

So I've been thinking about putting a lock right in my d35. Now I know its not a strong axle but I'm not worried. My d35 has the factory LSD and I can't seem to find anywhere to buy the locker. All the ones I find are for the open carrier. Any ideas??

The LSD takes up so much space in the carrier their isn't room for a lunchbox locker that's why you need an open carrier.

What style locker are you looking for? If you want a lunchbox such as a spartan, lock right, aussie, etc. you will need an open carrier. Now you can go with a full carrier style such as a detroit. Either way you will need to replace the carrier which will mean you need to set the gears. It will be cheaper to get an open carrier and get a lunchbox locker as the d35 isnt worth a detroit in my opinion.

That is what I was thinking. I have an 8.8 that I'm gonna swap in but I don't want to do that till I have it finished. Still need to get new brakes and weld the perches on. Plus I'd like to wait till I go to 35's. I wouldn't mind locking the front but it snows a lot where I live and lunchbox lockers suck on snowy roads unless they are in the rear.

If you have a 8.8 you plan on swapping in then just hold off on the locker and save the money. Besides once you swap rears anything for a 35 is almost impossible to sell so you will end up stuck with a locker for a 35 that you have no use for.

X3

Both of my wranglers Had D35's An after I snapped an Axleshaft on each one I swapped in D44's

My TJ got a D44 from a TJ Sahara, An my YJ got a D44 from an XJ !

My current XJ has a 29 spline 8.25 When I finish gathering parts for my rear disk conversion I will be adding Upgraded shafts and trussing the axle
