Dana 35 axle bearings.

Getting ready to replace the axle bearings and seals on my 01 xj with Dana 35. Pinion bearing seems fine at the moment.

Any tips tricks welcome. Do I need anything other than the bearings, seals, and gear oil?

You will need to pull the bearing out of the axle housing. A slide hammer with a hook or two is real handy

And you need a way to press/wack the new bearing into the housing by hitting nicely on the outer race. Lacking the correct bearing driver a big socket, piece of pipe or the old bearing can work. The bearing needs to go in straight.

Same deal with the seal .

And you need the magic additive if it's a Trac loc diff.
