Default Dana 30 noise (new hubs& cv's)

I have a 97 Cherokee country 4.0 4x4 and like the subject line says I still have drive line clanking . I just replaced the ujoints and new hubs at both ends of the axle. I took the jeep for a spin and it felt great untill I was at speed (30+mph) when I hit the brakes the horrible clank was back. I put the jeep back on jack stands to see where the slop was. I figured it was the front drive shaft u-joints but they where tight. But when I turn the drive shaft there is slop in the front diff . I can turn it about 1/4 inch Befor I get tire movement .

My question is would that cause the clanking under braking ? And can it be fixed ?
Thanks Matt

Is it a single clank or multiple clanks? Is all the hardware installed in the brakes? (calipers, and pads) Do you feel it in the floor? It could be a control arm joint.

have someone get in and back up, then hit the brakes hard and watch the front axle, could be control arms.
could be a lot of things, but I would check that first

I feel it in the wheel and in the brake petal . When I replaced the hubs I made sure the pads and calipers were install correctly . I will have the wife back the jeep out of the garage and I'll watch what the axle does. The next thing I was going to try was new ball joints and Ty rod ends

Fixed it finally it ended up being rotors . The only thing left now is to replace all the ball joints and throw it the alignment rack
