Yeah, hopefully you didn't burn them in too much.
From the welds I can see, you need to address the porosity in your welds.
Those weld as they sit, even if they were on it installed correctly, wouldn't do much for you.

Glad someone else said it, lol
OP, make sure ALL the oil and grease is gone and you have clean metal surfaces, and double check your machine for correct settings and gas flow.

Ok i've had this happen to me before. NO everyone saying they're supposed to be on the outside is wrong! The new design and specific instructions with pictures from IRO says and shows them inside. The new design fits inside, too small for outside. But you should of spaced them out further, they are supposed to ride on the edge and not touch anywhere. I have pictures of them in my build thread, no issues and about a 1/3" of clearance on either side from the shaft. The ears stick out past the gussets

The only link I saw with instructions from IRO I found is for the complete axle kit, which shows the gussets welded from the outside.

I see they offer their c gussets individually, but zero installation instructions....for the "new and improved" version.
If you have a link to updated install instructions, please post here. Curious.
Still doesn't excuse the fact that the weld pics posted so far make me cringe for the most part, lol

They're the same, it's on the edge going in, I welded mine on the outside they just welded on the inside. If you look at the older style they are larger. Don't mind the poor weld, other side was much better but didn't get to it until a week later. I had to argue with all of facebook about the new design since it's not a big item people buy compared to other brands. Once I posted the instructions from IRO everyone quit trying to prove me wrong despite me having the actual instructions.
