D44 help
i have a waggy d44 that im going to swap into my XJ
i have done some research and seems everyone switchs from the 6 lug to a ford 5 on 5.5 and you end up with the small bearing spindles what im wondering is there a way to go to 5 on 4.5 so it matchs my rear d44 so i dont have to buy new wheels and convert the rear end too i mean im going to end up making it smaller to go with the 5 lug it seems so why replace my wheels and everything

I haven't really looked onto this, but if you don't mind a wider stance I know you can get a 5 x 5.5 to 5 x 4.5 adapters/ wheel spacers for your front. Then you would just need some wheel spacers for the rear!
I'm sure someone else can chime in with a better option, via axle shaft swap. Just given some input

they dont make 5x5.5 to 5x 4.5 for the front. the lug pattern is to small to work with a hub.
