D30 lock right
I went to buy a D44 locker this morning from a guy new in box. Turned out it was a D30 locker so I can still use it. Just have some questions about driving habits? I've had locked rears but never locked the front. This is my dd so is there anything I should look out for? Also, at what stress point do you think I'd be in the range of snapping shafts?

My 30 with an Aussie and stock shafts worked fine with 35s. If the lockright is used get a new spring kit cause they wear out pretty fast and will make it act a bit funny. Unless you get a lot of snow you won't notice it. In 2wd it may pop a bit on slow tight turns but that's about it.

And just a heads up you have to remove the carrier and ring gear to install it. Kinda a pain but well worth it.

I want to lock my D30. Actually I have 31 but I will install 32 o 33 tires. Most of trials are mud or sand. I need to thinking in upgrade shafts or stocks are ok? I will regear to 4.10 (actually 3.07) so if I have to change, I prefer to do all in the same moment (carrier R&P and eventually shafts).

I was interested in a lockright too because I thought it was the best drop-in

i havent noticed any wear in my lock right and i have had it installed for 2 years. still works like new. i noticed an increase in broken u-joints but it is still a worthwhile upgrade. i am running 33x10.5s with 297 joints.
