Default Custom Tune??

I recently installed 703 injectors, bored throttle body, intake, header, and full exhaust. I noticed my exhaust tip is jet black from the past couple weeks now. It seems to run fine, better and smoother than before, but with the amount of sute on the tailpipe indicates to me that the air/fuel ratio is off. Does anyone do a custom tune or maping for a 1994?

Also, ever since these mods I feel like I can smell more of a gas burning smell. Similar to the smell an old carburated truck. I know I have no fuel leaks I have checked multiple times.

Thanks,

Screwd up 6

Did you put a new O2 in? Also disconnect the battery for about an hour then hook it back up and let idle for 15 min to reset the ECU. The ECU will relearn after this and a few drive cycles.

There is a way to make an adjustable map sensor but I forgot how. It was on trucks the power block show on spike.

seems really confusing to me. I dont understand how you "tune" it once you have created the adjustable map

Turning the screw adjusts the.base voltage to the.map which sets a different baseline for the computer and that changes the pulse width on the injectors changing the a/ f ratio

Slick761 have you made one? is it as difficult as it looks to do? Seems more frustrating than actual level of difficulty.

Yes I have made one. I'm pretty used to working with electronics. It's not hard just small so you have to work kinda slow.

Sorry, it wasn't Hesco I was thinking of. Check out Leigh Performance Machine, they sell a map adjuster and other cool 4.0 gizmo's.
