Custom drop pitman arm
Hey guys
the drop pitman arm on an XJ, are the drop pitman arm made of a certain steel or being forged? I figured maybe I can my own one made at a engineering shop, How tough should the be? I can't think that the drop pitman arm would take a hard pounding?

Those are forged but people have modified them mostly with disastrous results.
You can get dropped pitman arms from most any suspension company. BDS has one # 084601 for $74.00.
